Fiona Minay

Fiona Minay NEBDSA 1984 Spec Rad.Cert OHE.
Cert in Dental Management,
Cert Ed, Level 3 Certificate in Decontamination,
GDC 117325

I started working many years ago for Cornwall Community Dental Service where I enjoyed working in a clinic and a dental caravan in a school car park or even a public car park in a quaint Cornish village. This job offered many services from general dentistry, orthodontics to general anaesthetics, and plenty of travelling around Cornish villages.

Due to my husband’s job I then moved to Dorset and worked for the Dorset Community team, doing much of the same, which I loved. We were then posted to Germany and after a short spell of running a library on one of the camps, I managed to secure a position with the British Army’s Dental Service.

On returning to Britain I began working for Ashby and Atkinson as a Senior Dental Nurse and then their Practice Manager. Over the years I have continued my education in gaining Oral Health Exam, Radiography, Practice Management, Cert Ed, Hypnotherapy and I am presently studying for an NVQ in Counselling.

Out of work I enjoy keeping busy with looking after my family, Amateur Dramatics, singing, and I am also a School Governor with one of the local schools Timothy Hackworth, Parish Councillor and President of a local W.I.
